# Unregister an Expo push token for the current user

> Unregisters the caller's Expo push token, so no push reaches the device.

Use this tool when you need to:
- Stop pushes to this device when the caller signs out of the mobile app
- Remove a device token the caller no longer uses

Examples:
- DELETE /user/push-tokens/{pushToken}
- DELETE /user/push-tokens/ExponentPushToken[xL3q9a1Bc7DeFgHiJkLmNo]

Hints:
- pushToken is the Expo push token itself, its brackets escaped or not; one that is not an Expo push token is refused with 400.
- It answers 204 and is idempotent: a token the caller never registered, or one the device registered since under another account, changes nothing.
- Use registerPushToken instead to register the device again; use updateNotificationPreferences instead to stop one kind of push on every device.
- Any authenticated caller may unregister their own, with a session or an API key.
