# Get a GitHub repo

> The repository owner/repo names, with the installation that reaches it with your push access: the first of your GitHub App installations that does. It names the repository, so it does not rest on the list's cap, and an installation that fails to answer does not stop the others being tried. Refused (404) when no installation reaches it, and (409 github_reconnect_required) when your GitHub authorization must be renewed.
